SearchJim Routt serves as Chief Operating Officer for IQVIA Biotech, where he is responsible for overseeing end to end project delivery across the organization. In this role, Jim partners closely with global project teams, investigator site services, and therapeutic leaders to strengthen service excellence and accelerate growth for biotech and emerging biopharma sponsors.
With more than 23 years at IQVIA, Jim brings deep operational and therapeutic expertise to his role. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Oncology Global Therapeutic Area Unit Head, leading the global oncology delivery organization across projects, customers, line management, strategy and partnership development. Throughout his career, Jim has held roles spanning clinical research associate and project manager to senior operations leadership, with experience across multiple oncology indications and all phases of development. He has led global teams of more than 400 project and clinical leaders and has represented IQVIA in customer governance forums and industry conferences worldwide.
Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico. His leadership is grounded in a strong commitment to quality, compliance, patient safety and delivering meaningful value to customers – always with a clear focus on improving outcomes for the patients served by the clinical research community.
