As Chief Medical Officer for IQVIA Biotech, Dr. James Kyle Bryan is responsible for strategic global medical and scientific leadership to advance development programs for biotech and emerging biopharma sponsors. Kyle also serves as Global Head of the IQVIA Hematology-Oncology Center of Excellence where he leads a team of therapeutic and operational subject matter experts providing innovative medical and therapeutic insights to sponsors.
Focused on drug discovery and development in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries for more than 25 years, Kyle offers a unique perspective on navigating medical and safety challenges and needs within clinical trials. He has worked in biotechnology companies as well as for clinical research organizations. He was honored in 2021 as one of the PharmaVoice 100, recognizing the most inspiring people in the life sciences industry.
Kyle is board-certified in hematology and medical oncology and remains actively engaged in patient care as a clinical faculty member at the University of Washington Medical Center. This work allows him to better understand the current needs and wants of patients to factor into his guidance to our teams.
Kyle earned a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and a medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Washington. He resides in Seattle where he is the father of two teenagers and an advocate for adoption and foster care.
